Terms of Use
Effective Date: 10/15/2026
About These Terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of americanparqueteur.com and its community, educational materials, and related website features. In these Terms, American Parqueteur, we, us, and our refer to the operator of this website. You and your refer to the person using the website.
By accepting these Terms when registering, you agree to follow them and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use member features. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.
Membership and Accounts
Membership is intended for people age 18 or older with an interest in hardwood flooring. Provide accurate registration information and keep your account details current. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent your business or qualifications, or create accounts to evade restrictions.
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity you authorize through your account. Notify info@americanparqueteur.com if you believe your account has been compromised. Membership may be subject to activation, review, and approval. Creating an account does not guarantee approval or continued access.
Using the Community
Use the website for relevant learning, professional discussion, and appropriate connections. Do not harass others, send unsolicited bulk messages, post deceptive promotions, introduce malicious software, interfere with website security, or collect member information for unauthorized marketing.
Do not publish confidential business information, customer details, private messages, or photographs without appropriate permission. Do not coordinate pricing, bids, market allocation, or other anticompetitive conduct. Follow the Community Guidelines when posting, replying, messaging, and interacting with other members.
Your Posts, Photos, and Other Submissions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to share it, including permission from copyright owners and people whose personal information appears in it.
By submitting content, you grant American Parqueteur a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content as necessary to operate and provide the website and its community features. This includes allowing service providers to process it for those purposes and allowing intended recipients to view messages. This license does not make private messages public or authorize us to use them in advertising.
This license continues while the content is hosted and for limited backup, legal, security, and recordkeeping purposes described in our Privacy Policy after removal. It does not transfer ownership of your work. We will seek separate permission before using a member’s identifiable submission in advertising outside the community, unless another valid permission already covers that use.
Public content may be copied or quoted by others. We cannot recall copies independently saved or shared by other people. Contact us if you need help removing content you control.
American Parqueteur Content and Branding
Except for member content, licensed third-party material, and material otherwise identified, website text, graphics, designs, and other original materials belong to American Parqueteur or their respective rights holders. You may access and use educational materials for your own learning and ordinary internal professional reference.
Do not republish, sell, redistribute, or present our original content as your own without permission, except where applicable law permits it. Do not use the American Parqueteur name, logo, or other brand assets to suggest sponsorship, certification, partnership, or endorsement without written authorization. Membership alone does not grant that authorization. Requests may be sent to info@americanparqueteur.com.
Education and Member Relationships
Website materials and discussions provide general education. They are not a substitute for jobsite assessment, product instructions, applicable codes, safety requirements, or qualified professional judgment. Our Educational Disclaimer provides further detail.
Member statements are their own. A profile, listing, contribution, or membership does not mean we have verified a person's licenses, insurance, credentials, work quality, or business practices. We do not guarantee member services or act as a party to agreements between members. Independently evaluate anyone you hire, buy from, or work with.
Moderation and Account Restrictions
We may review reported content, remove or restrict content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect members, address security concerns, or comply with law. Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate restrictions.
We do not promise to review every submission before publication or monitor every interaction. To report a concern or request reconsideration of a moderation decision, email info@americanparqueteur.com with relevant links and details. Do not repost removed material while a decision is under review.
Third-Party Resources
The website may link to or embed resources provided by others. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link, mention, or embedded resource does not by itself constitute an endorsement or guarantee of accuracy, availability, or suitability.
Availability and Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its materials are provided as available and without warranties of uninterrupted access, complete accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from errors. Features and materials may change or become unavailable. Keep your own copies of important work.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limits of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, American Parqueteur and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive losses arising from use of the website, reliance on community content, or dealings with other members, including lost profits or business opportunities.
These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct where applicable. Your mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
Ending Your Membership
You may stop using the website at any time. To request account closure, email info@americanparqueteur.com from the address associated with your account. We may verify your identity before acting. Account closure and removal of public contributions are separate requests; our Privacy Policy explains relevant retention considerations.
Provisions that by their nature must continue after account closure, including ownership, applicable content permissions, liability limitations, and unresolved obligations, continue as permitted by law.
Changes and Questions
We may update these Terms as the website develops. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance when required by law or when appropriate for material changes. Changes do not retroactively expand our rights to your content without any consent required by law.
Questions, concerns, and requests for permission may be sent to info@americanparqueteur.com. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from using rights or remedies available under applicable law.
